Tell us about yourself.

I'm married to my high school sweetheart, TJ, and we have a spunky four year old son (Dominic). I am an Assistant Principal at Orrville Middle School. I absolutely love my job and work with such wonderful people and kids!

Why did you start CrossFit?

I was a college athlete, then started running 1/2 and full marathons. Then we were blessed with Dominic. After Dom was born, I couldn't find my passion or motivation for running or going to the gym by myself. A few of my friends were members at CrossFit gyms. I did one WOD with a friend at work and decided I really wanted to try it... so I basically texted, called, messaged (maybe stalked) Brooke until she took me to my first class at CrossFit330!

What is your favorite thing about CrossFit?

I love everything about our gym! Everyone is so supportive, the coaches and all our members. I love being challenged everyday I walk into the gym. Our coaches push you to do better, lift heavier (lift correctly)!

What motivates you to CrossFit?

I love competition. I love having a text thread holding me accountable to attend classes, especially the 4am Open Gym. I have more energy and feel great!

What goals would you like to achieve in the next year that CrossFit can help you with?

Master DUBs and continue working on the Olympic lifts.

What would you tell someone who was thinking about starting CrossFit, but was nervous or scared?

This was me! I was very nervous... I was nervous about keeping up, was I capable of learning the lifts, would I feel accepted... until I walked into the gym and was greeted with hellos and smiles. Members and coaches walked up and introduced themselves to me, offered me SPARK, goat tape... you name it! When I get frustrated with the lifts or movements, a coach or teammate is always there to help me get better. Truly CrossFit330 has been so inspirational and I know that I'm stronger because of every member and coach in our gym. I would stress that even some of our best athletes have to scale at times. The most important thing is showing up and giving it your best.
