Tell us about yourself.
I am 62 years young and retired from North Royalton City Schools on 3/1/2018 , Where I worked as the district dietitian for 26 years. I also worked in healthcare and wellness for 10 years prior to moving to the school district.
Why did you start CrossFit?
I started with a Crossfit type workout with Michelle as my personal trainer prior to her opening 330. I had a death in the family and Michelle helped me work through the grief by always coming up great workouts. She empowered me and made me realize I could make it through any challenge with exercise.
What is your favorite thing about CrossFit?
Friendships, support, stress relief and I have never felt out of place; that however is part of the 330 culture.
What is a PR (Personal Record) that you are proud of?
100 # back squat and 100 burpees.
What motivates you to CrossFit?
Better lipid and cholesterol levels at 62 than when I was 32.
What goals would you like to achieve in the next year that CrossFit can help you with?
Would like to maintain 4-5 days weekly without injury! Improve running.
What would you tell someone who was thinking about starting CrossFit, but was nervous or scared?
Every wod is scalable . Would recommend the open as you then can rank yourself nationally based on your age group. This was very rewarding!
