Tell us about yourself.
I’m the proud mother of 4 amazing kids. Kelcie (27), JD (24), Jabin (22), and Kloee (20). I have been married for 2 1/2 years to Shawn and he has a beautiful daughter Mara who is 15. I am a BIO Medical Technician in charge of the Home Patient Program for Fresenius Kidney Care. I also have my own Catering Business.
Why did you start CrossFit?
I started CrossFit because of Kelcie. She told me about Boot Camp and encouraged me to try it. I did the camp and had great results so I signed up for CrossFit classes.
What is your favorite thing about CrossFit?
I really love everything about CrossFit! In the last year I have lost 40 pounds working with Kelcie on my nutrition. I love working out everyday and pushing myself to get better. The coaching staff is amazing and has taught me so much. Hands down the 5am class and people are the best!! We are a family and I love starting my day with them.
What motivates you to CrossFit?
Kelcie really motivates me to be my best. I watch her give a 100% every time she is in the gym and I want to be that way too.
What goals would you like to achieve in the next year that CrossFit can help you with?
My goals are to rope climb, get better at handstand push-ups, and be able to lift heavier weights
What would you tell someone who was thinking about starting CrossFit, but was nervous or scared?
My kids have been athletes their whole lives and I have always admired their hard work and dedication. I feel I can say I am a athlete now because of CrossFit. I am in the best shape I have ever been in. I would encourage anyone to try it and push yourself to be better. You will not regret it!!
