CrossFit Experience: I think it’s been about 2 years. When my mom died in January, it fired something up in me, and I’ve been more serious about CrossFit
Favorite WOD/Exercise: I like bench presses and snatches. Lifting in general.
PR Pride: I’m proud of myself for not quitting! And I see myself getting better!
Least Favorite WOD/Exercise: Hands down, the ASSault bike! I truly hate it! Really anything cardio, running, rowing, biking. That’s what I’m working on now.
Tell us about yourself.
Joyce Romansky dog walker extraordinaire. I’ve been married to my husband Bruno for 35 years in June. We have 4 children that are my world, Zack, Kyle, Marissa, and Austin. We also have 2 dogs, Stella and Stanley. I enjoy decorating, travel, gardening, and reading.
Why did you start CrossFit?
I started out in Boot Camp, I was a physical wreck! I couldn’t even tie my shoes without getting out of breath. I decided I had better stick with it after Boot Camp.
What is your favorite thing about CrossFit?
I love that there is something new everyday.
What motivates you to CrossFit?
I don’t want to be sedentary in my older years. I also just love the people, and the friends I’ve made.
What goals would you like to achieve in the next year that CrossFit can help you with?
A pull up! Even if it’s just 1! Getting better at cardio. It’s so hard for me!
What would you tell someone who was thinking about starting CrossFit, but was nervous or scared?
It seems scary, but you can modify everything. There are things that you won’t be able to do, and that’s ok.
