Tell us about yourself.
I'm happiest with family and friends. I enjoy cooking/eating, photography and being outdoors--hiking, swimming, biking. I work with Special Ed students in Akron and I truly love it.
Why did you start CrossFit?
After completing two boot camps (thanks Corey and Pam!) .. I knew I didn't want to leave 330.
What is your favorite thing about CrossFit?
The community .. I have met amazing people and built some solid friendships. I also love the mental/physical challenge and competing against myself. I've always enjoyed being active but was never an athlete. CF has taught me how to push and challenge myself in new ways.
What is a PR (Personal Record) that you are proud of?
I was excited when I got my first T2B.
What motivates you to CrossFit?
The amazing community and the constant challenge to push myself out of my comfort zone. Also, I want all the muscles.
What goals would you like to achieve in the next year that CrossFit can help you with?
I really want to string together some strict pull-ups.
What would you tell someone who was thinking about starting CrossFit, but was nervous or scared?
Do it! The community is so supportive! There are modifications for any level of physical ability. I've learned so much about myself and that I'm capable of more than I ever could have imagined. I have never once regretted showing up for a WOD.
